Vermirror Pro™ Comparator Mirror

The Vermirror has been great fun to use, and I am glad that I bought it. I learned quickly how to use the Vermirror to vastly improve my pencil drawings. If I did not know that I produced these drawings, then I would not have believed it. I am looking forward to drawing more of these little “Vermiracles”.

Like many people I was first introduced to the idea of using optics as tools in painting through the Hockney–Falco thesis (mostly from Hockney's "Secret Knowledge: Rediscovering the Lost Techniques of the Old Masters") and later "Tim's Vermeer".

For several years I've been integrating various optical setups into my own work, and from my experience the the Vermirror Pro is the best mass market implementation of this I've seen yet.

Easy to set up and calibrate, the Vermirror delivers on being an indispensable tool for professional artists and an amazing teaching device for those just beginning their journey.

I purchased the Vermirror Pro after investigating other options. Once I watched the documentary "Tim's Vermeer" I knew I had to have one! I'm so glad I chose this model. The base is extremely sturdy, the aluminum arms strong but light and easy to adjust. I've already been able to do some amazing work with hardly any art experience over the last two decades!

The optical quality as well as the build quality is excellent. It's easy to set up and get going. You are still making all the choices about how you render the image you see, but the Vermirror helps you pay closer attention to the image, which helps you be more accurate. It's a training tool and not only helps you get there faster but the coordination and observation skills you gain should carry over to all the art you make
